okay so I asked my parents for an ipod touch for christmas.......i didnt get one, I did however get an ipod 5th generation. So with this I say AWESOME....sometimes you can't get exactly what you want but life is still great. I kinda like it too.....because if ppl know me they know technology and me do not get along...so maybe this is for the best lol.....plus I think we get so warped into the whole gift giving that we kinda forget what christmas is about.....one thing is Christ but another is family(which includes friends and helping even those you dont know). This season is about coming together and fellowship. I've had some doozies of some christmas's and this wasnt one of em......AWESOME I SAY....here's to many more non doozy christmas's to come

This week started off really bad. I learned college expenses are ridonkulous. I don't understand that much money per person to be in a place.....but o well. I have to learn not to let things get the best of me. Stop and just breathe. Then I got the coolest package in the mail from a friend (Em!!!!). The package happens to be the coolest gift I think I've ever gotten. It was an Idol package with a book full of little pics and b-day wishes and then a tour program. It was so awesome....and now I know why she kept saying not to open in the post office LOL. She has 5 gold stars for life. Then, however, after the daily events, which were great, I realized I still had problems that must be dealt with. Life is a really a rollercoaster 4 real. One day ur up the next ur down.

So my first week of college has gone by. It was stressful, I thought I was gonna run out of money, and it was my first time living away from my family. Which looking at that, I guess that's what it means to be in college for everyone. I talked with several people who actually have it a bit worse than me, which I hate how this sounds but it made me feel better knowing I wasn't the only one with issues. In the past week I have met some cool people and I have had a few laughs in betweeen the frustration. I think it's just gonna be a bit til I find by way, but it's only been a week so I have plenty of time. On a sidenote, my dorm still looks like a prison cell, but we're working on it LOL. Oh and thanks ladies (they know who they are) for being so supportive.....especailly Urban. She know's my school's website better than I do and I appreciate it lol. Let's see what happens next week.

Okay so today I leave to move into my dorm. Most of the ppl who read this blog (okay the only ppl who read this blog) know I've been freaking out for weeks. It's a step thats foreign to me so I've been unwilling to make the change. Now the time is upon me to where I'm being forced. It's a good thing. It's crazy to think of me leaving the nest. Just yesterday I was little and riding my bicycle up trees (lol i know) and coloring in coloring books and dancing in my light up sneakers and singing Little Bitty by Alan Jackson on the fire placce to all my family then running away and actually running away from home when I was like 9 and when I used to fly kites and when I would watch Barney/Power Rangers................omg......time has flown. Growing up or growing older is never easy but it must be done. I'm an adult and I'm leaving home. I've accepted that it's hard......but with it I now have the chance of becoming what I've always wanted to be......GREAT! This is just a new chapter to a book that I get to write and if I never took any leaps or made any changes the book would be dull and no one would care to read it. I want to be all that I can be (in the army national guard) and college is where I need to be. Thanks guys (u know who u are) for believing in me even though we've never met. Trust me it's nice having people behind you and showing you support. It means more than you know trust me! It's with ur support and love that makes this an easier transition than it could be for me. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! WELL COLLEGE HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paula Abdul released a statement to notify the people of her regretful desicion to not come back for the 9th season of the show that she helped become the phenominon it was, American Idol. It is a sad day for American Idol fans. She was a person that many looked foward to. She appeared as the mother of the show, something many contestants needed and appreciated. Without her it won't be the same. No offense to Kara, but she can never feel the void left in Paula's chair. I hope Paula all the success in the world in her adventures post-Idol. I've often wondered why many people didn't get their stars on the walk of fame while they were alive. Why weren't people admired and honored during their lifetimes? I've always been the hugest Betty Hutton fan. For some unknown reason, maybe reports of her being difficult, but come on in that time what starlet wasn't, she was allowed by the public to fade away into oblivion. She went from being the best new actress on the scene to being a lowly cook. The public basically said no to her. Then after her death, people realized her contribution. The same thing goes with artists, why are they only celebrated after their deaths? I know this is random, it has just always bothered me.

Walking...Walking...and More Walking

Okay, so I'm back from SOAR....it was fun...i guess. To be completely honest my favorite part was wen we learned the chants and cheers to perform at the football games, which BTW I get into free. WOOT WOOT! Any who, everything was alright, I met a few people I hope I see and meet again, and some well....The campus is truly beautiful and the recreational activity center (RAC) was ginormous; I've never seen so many different exercise equipment, 2 pools, rock wall, like 3 basketball courts, several dance and exercising rooms, volleyball court......omg.....it was amazing. It's kinda funny that I liked that so much considering my least favorite part was the walking on the second day. I walked well I know well over 3 miles, and my SOAR leader bless her heart, who guided us the first time I had to walk that path that day, walked backwards the entire way. But forget that, I am officially a college student now. I registered for classes...my schedule is awesome...my classes are: Drawing I, three dimensional design, art history I, Folklore, and Math Modeling. I was one of the lucky kids who didn't have to take English in college, because I took it while in high school. I hated when they would ask me.."oh you must have AP credit?" I'm like "no and you can suck it and in your face...I was joint enrolled in college while in HS" I hate when people assume.....you know the whole it makes an ass out of u an me...lame joke....Anyways...overall I learned that college life won't be a breeze, but that I should at least try and try I will. Did I mention I get in free to the games....WOOT WOOT WOOT WOOT! Go Eagels!

Yuck! I have my college orientation today. It's called SOAR. I don't know what it means so don't ask, but it has something to do with the school's mascot which is an eagle. Any who.....I don't want to go. Who the hell decided it was mandatory? Well, whatever, I'm going and I leave today around lunch and won't be back until late Friday. Georgia Southern better be the shiz! Oh.....and I'm gonna miss my pals.....so Laky you don't have to check this until Saturday teehee.

P.S. Guys I think I may buy one of those lame $200 dollar laptops so that I can at least get on the net.....they don't have a place for CD's or anything, but come on......how often do I use those, lol.

okay so the Sear's Tower is unveiling these so called glass balconies. Can you imagine running out of a room on that shiz. I would be like OMG I'M DEAD. When I think about glass underneath me, that scene in Jurassic Part when the bus is hanging on by a thread and they are laying on the glass and it's slowly cracking underneath them. Okay so last week I complained that the choreographers needed to step their game up. This week THEY DID! I think it's great when you watch a show and you never know who's getting eliminated. It's a sign that they have really found the best dancers and people overall for the show. Good choreography also lets the dancer shine if danced right. So thanx for bringing in terms of choreography. I have no idea who will be eliminated, but my guesses are Caitlin and Jason.

I'll update tomorrow and say who went home.

Idol Replayed MJ Night: Worse than I Remember

Perhaps it was due in large part to it being their first time on a large stage in front of that many people or they were nervous because now the competition had really began. Edgewise, there were some absolute FAILS. Jorge, Jasmine, Anoop, Michael, Scott I'm talking to you. I don't mention Megan cuz I mean come on, she is perfect for a children's show and that song was actually a smart choice for her. This night really did foreshadow the final four though. I mean those 4 were the best of the night. Adam Lambert stole the night....well he stole the season. I do give props for FOX for replaying this, it was nice- it felt like Idol was just beginning again. For a minute I was like omg I wonder who's going home tomorrow. I miss that show, it reminds you how much other reality shows truly suck!

What a sad day for pop culture. We lost two legends in one day. Early in the day the actress known for her bright and radiant smile, feather hair, and her role in Charlie's Angels, Farrah Fawcett died from her battle with cancer. Hours later the king of pop who inspired many with his amazing tunes and dance moves died when Michael Jackson suddenly went into cardiac arrest. They will be deeply missed and will live on in our hearts. A true legend is is defined as someone who inspires. That they did.

While that may be so, I find this to be kind of an ironic statement. After all, isn't Paris Hilton famous for being the granddaughter of the founder of the Hilton hotel chain. I could be wrong, but that name got her in the door and honestly I can't think of another reason of why she is famous. Kelly Clarkson released a statement saying that the so called "Fat Joke" is old. I couldn't agree with her more. She has meat on her bones, which in Hollywood terms means she fat. I say she looks healthy. Nobody should try to lower another's self esteem. Kelly keep being yourself and don't change for nobody. Tell your haters that they can SUCK IT!

I cannot sleep for the life of me and it is now after 4 o' clock in the morning. That means I should have been asleep by now......yeah I'm pissed. I love when you don't hear from a singer or musician in a while, and then they bust onto the scene with some of their best work. Some people you sit waiting and pining for the day they come back to where their magic was. Sometimes you'll just always sit wishing and then sometimes your truly amazed and excited when it happens. I think Britney Spears had a comeback. I supported her comeback and let's face it, she's exciting and her music is catchy. News today is that Whitney Houston is going to release an album this September. Am I excited for this? NO! Whitney lost the charm and grace she had with the "Bodyguard" soundtrack. Let's face it, I will be surprised if she can hit that stride she once had. Will this be her comeback? I don't think so. Plus, I thought Dolly's original version of "I Will Always Love You" is the only true version. Sorry.

In other news, I just had to comment on the Joe Jonus Single Ladies video. This is embarrassing for him. Not a good move, or maybe because it is so embarrassing, it was an extremely good move because I know how many people check out those FAIL videos. Maybe he'll have as much luck in views as they've had. Bless his heart! LOL

That guy from countless Kung Fu movies, not to mention two of my favorite movies of all time, Kill Bill 1 & 2. This guy was awesome and very talented. It's a sad day, but he will be remembered by all who enjoyed his craft and knew him personally. He was 72 years old.

I have to say "honestly" I watched Laguna Beach Season 1 and absolutely loved it. The relationships seemed genuine....to say the least, it didn't sound scripted. Then as a fan of the designer girl LC, I tuned into see what The Hills was about. It was okay enough that every Monday I would watch it although it didn't have spark that Laguna had. Then I tuned out come the next few seasons and only caught an episode here or there. I watched enough to see Speidi happen. Then I really stopped watching. They completely turned me off from the show. Thanks Speidi! I watched finale this year "because it had pre-show clips in it for the MTV Movie Awards" and I have to say this. Congratulation Lauren for quitting that hot mess of a show. Your better now for it.....and I may actually become a fan again. This is the smartest career move I've seen in a while and I thought it should be noted. Now, if we could all get Speidi to stop being on TV period.

Last Titanic Survivor Dies

So sad! Millvina Dean, who was said to be the last survivor of the Titanic passed away at the age of 97. I had the privilege of going to an exhibit in Atlanta of the Titanic. It had hundreds and hundreds of artifacts, including a bag of perfume samples (that still smelled like roses). It was life altering seeing that and other pieces of the so called "unsinkable" boat. Her death is sad, but she will not be forgotten.

Honestly, I referred to her as this for so long...I forgot she had a real name- which by the way is Nadya Suleman. I prefer Octomom. Any who, she's now got herself her very own reality show in the works....and she's writing a book. I mean who would read it? She got "knocked up" with some sort of magical baby potion and had eight babies....OOOOO....I wish others had known about this. Why not? I just saw some pictures of that Kate woman and her kids walking down the street...she looks more annoyed than I do when watching Susan Boyle.....and she doesn't look annoyed with media, but her kids. Truth be told, yeah having that many kids could be annoying, but come on now. With hair like that I can see why your kids are acting out...it's oddly shaped, like it's weighing her head down. No wonder she's so grumpy. Bless those kids hearts- they want to just be kids and their parents (maybe just Kate) want to be celebrities. I hate when lame people get so much media coverage (Boyle, other people like Boyle). Sure...I talk about them...but I'll feel much better when I have something more interesting to discuss...which right now is nothing.

My Pot has Boyleth Over

My first post! How Exciting...well for me anyways. I'm going to jump right in....Susan Boyle. Susan Boyle, sure she's okay at singing.....if you like that sort of music...I don't care for it much, but.....Simon Cowell and the other two did. I personally didn't get the hype though. She wasn't that great! So, today, when I heard she lost...I was like....DUH! Maybe I was the only one in the world, but I would never vote for her. She's boring. And while I'm on the whole Britain's Got Talent thing...that little girl who broke down midway of song and began to cry- all I can say is.......BOO HOO! OMG I hate when people cry on TV..I just do. When Brooke White of American Idol messed up the lyrics, did she cry NO..well maybe on the inside...but she just carried on. Yeah you may say she's a kid and they respond differently.....but she's on a frickin reality show....grow a backbone....or grow up first! People vote for the kids cuz they are cute and little....all kids are cute when they sing...well.....okay maybe not all kids. I am so glad I have a new Idol show coming on.....SYTYCD. Yes it is American Idol but for dance...LOVES IT! Don't have fave dancer yet, except kinda liked the girl who danced like Mark from last season. Wow....too much reality TV is taking over my life.
